The ConCheck score

Seven things that can make or break a convention game.

Every category uses the same five-star scale: Excellent, Good, Average, Poor, or Terrible.

Preparation

How prepared and organized was the GM? Were notes, materials, maps, characters, and other resources ready to go?

Plot

How engaging was the adventure? Did the story respond to player choices, and could the GM adapt when players went off script?

NPCs

Were the NPCs memorable and distinct, with recognizable personalities, voices, motivations, or mannerisms?

Storytelling

How effectively did the GM bring the game to life through description, atmosphere, pacing, tone, and dramatic delivery?

Mechanics

How well did the GM understand and use the rules while adjudicating confidently, consistently, and without bogging down play?

Leadership

How well did the GM manage pacing, distractions, difficult table behavior, and opportunities for everyone to participate?

Personality

How enjoyable was the GM to play with? Consider attitude, humor, enthusiasm, approachability, and fit with the group.

Why ConCheck?

Your convention time is too valuable for a blind pick.

Convention schedules tell you the system, scenario, and time slot. They usually tell you very little about the person actually running the table. ConCheck is being built to change that.
